Did you know 25% of all military families experience food insecurity? The Essentials Market at Fort Wadsworth, is a fully stocked food pantry run by the Blue Star Families NY Tri-State Chapter and was established in direct response to the high cost of living in our region.  The Essentials Market feeds close to 900 military connected individuals every month, most of them active-duty Coast Guard stationed at Fort Wadsworth.

With egg prices climbing to $9.00 a carton we won’t be able to stock the shelves without your help. Why is this so urgent? Eggs are vital for our pantry shoppers providing essential nutrition for growing families, a protein packed meal for active service members and a way to stretch pantry staples until the next paycheck.
